31/1 "Vilka är era kunder?"
"Vilka är era kunder?"
Den frågan får vi ofta på interesting.org.
Vi brukar svara "Alla".
Normalt sett är det ett värdelöst svar. Ett företag som tror att man kan ha "alla" som kund har "ingen" som kund. Man måste nischa sig, välja ut en liten del av marknaden och fokusera på den, heter det.
Men med tanke på två olika mail som jag fick idag så känns det rätt att strunta i vad experterna säger och fortsätta med attityden att vi vänder oss till alla.
För det enda mailet jag fick var från utbildningsansvarig på "supreme court" (dvs Högsta Domstolen) i Singapore som berättade att de hade gjort 2010 till sitt "Learning and Innovation-year".
Och de ville nu boka mig för en föreläsning för alla domstolens anställda i mars.
Det andra mailet var från Eric. Han skrev:

The book is to expensive for me to buy that's why I only read your book inside the bookstore. because the bookstore which I go to usually entertain people that wants to read can read the book in the bookstore. I have no money, I live with my parents, I have no job, I am 28 years of age, its hard for me to find a job here, I have dyslexia which I call Mr. Dyslexia and I'm embarrass and mad of my situation that I cant read that fast or spell that good, I always try everyday but the fact is that the dyslexia is eating me alive in spirit, I want to prove to my self that my dyslexia is not a sickness but a gift. I think that your Book can help my Imagination grow more and help me exercise my brain more. I want to practice my reading and help my self very much and be a better person. I need help. I think that your book can help me.

När interesting.org har alla anställda på högsta domstolen i Singapore som kunder. Och samtidigt får en fattig man med skriv- och läs-svårigheter som fan på Filippinerna - ja, då känns det rätt att säga att man har "alla" som kunder. (Även om vi tekniskt sett inte har mannen i Manila som kund eftersom vi bestämde oss för att sponsra honom genom att skicka ett antal böcker utan kostnad.
